DCS F-100D Super Sabre

The F-100D Super Saber was made by North American Aviation and first flown in 1956. Being a supersonic fighter and bomber, the Sabre was the primier aircraft used by the United States Air Force. The F-100 family alone flew over 360,000 combat sorties during the war where it specialized in fighter-bomber penetration and escort missions.

The Sabre features a 45 degree swept wing, supersonic level flight and in flight ariel refueling capability. Underwing stations can be utilized to maximize range with fuel tanks or add additional ordnance.

Project High Wire

DCS: F-100D features the Project High Wire modernization. This program consisted of specific upgrades: electrical and maintenance. Aircraft were re-wired to extend service life and upgrade avionics while extensive maintence re-vitalized other aspects of the airframe.
